37 + weeks and counting

So, I have officially "dropped". I did not do this with Bridgette, so this is new for me. HOpefully it means Mason will make an early arrival :)
Bridgette has entered the "terrible twos"...she throws the greatest tantrums! :) She is so sweet most of the time, though. Mostly she wants her way of course, and thinks everything is "mine". Fortunately, it is not too bad. I hope Mason will make her less fussy hahaha.
She is really excited to meet her little brother though. She loves on my belly and it is so fun.
Here are a few of her favorite songs to sing: "Baa, baa black sheep", "Twinkle, twinkle little star", "ABCs", "Itsy bitsy spider", "If you are happy and you know it", "You are my sunshine".
Earlier she saw a rainbow and pointed it out to me. I said "What does a rainbow mean?". She replied, "God loves me". So smart and sweet.
Another fun thing she enjoys is to drive everyone's cars. She pushes all the buttons, steers, and unfortunately beeps the horn...
WE went to a splash pad with Halle and Nate this week. She paid more attention to Nate than the water haha.

Pictures!

I'm a little late getting some of these up! Bridgette LOVES a good splash pad. She gets absolutely soaked!!
Her best friend is Halle Kickliter. She looks forward to playing with her every week!! She also LOVES Halle's new brother Nate! He is a cutie!
Bri's favorite toys are hands down DOLLS. She has several and cares for each of them periodically throughout the day! She has a "brother" doll, and buddy, you had better not misplace his bottle!!
We also have a family pic from the beginning of Fawver Day 2011 (even though Daddy had to work, we still celebrated!)

Dollywood

Bridgette went to Dollywood for the first time in May. I am VERY late posting these pictures, but some of them are worth seeing!! We had a great time, and she LOVED the carousel. Enjoy!
Why is Trav in the big duck? Well...it's because pregnant Mommy couldn't fit in there and so he squeezed himself in just so Bridgette could ride. What a daddy!!

Bridgette loves Dora

Not sure that I have mentioned this in any previous posts, but Bridgette is wild about Dora the Explorer. I am seriously against her watching a lot of tv, but if I need 20 minutes to get something done, she is thrilled to death to get to watch Dora. In fact, first thing she asks for the in AM: "Milka-milka?", "Dora?". Sweet huh? hahaha, no hello Mommy or Daddy :)
She likes to walk on her tip-toes lately. It is pretty funny. She is learning lots of funny moves from Little Gym and is very adventurous and will try most things. She loves her teacher, Miss Sarah, at the Little Gym too. :)
She caries around her babies and will tell me when the baby is crying. She will love on the baby, give it a bottle, put it to "nite-nite" when the baby cries. She tries everything and it is really amazing to me how she knows what to do.
Mimi Nina and Pawpaw Marshall are back from their vacation and Bridgette has been having a ton of fun with them. They have bought a condo and plan to move in this weekend! We are very happy for them.
I am just as happy as you could possibly be. yesterday in church the pastor spoke about God's perfect timing and our impatient natures. I was just thinking that I have been wishing this baby out of me, but really I need to cherish these last weeks that I have with Bridgette and Trav and allow Mason to grow and be as healthy as possible. I am so thankful for my life and family.
Here are some typical AM pics of Bridgette. She has WILD hair, and plays very hard. We watch a Dora episode while we share either oatmeal or waffles w fruit, then we read several books (lately she has demanded to read them instead of me), then we go to the playroom and work off some energy :) Her playroom looks no fun at all, I know...

Mommy is going to try and do better...

I am terrible at keeping up this blog. There are SO many things to do, but I realize that keeping a record of things is beneficial, so HERE goes again :)
Bridgette really is such a joy! She is growing so quickly and learning so much. Here are a few cute things she is doing:
**SHe can sing her ABCs all the way through (over and over and over haha)
**She can count to ten in English and Spanish
**She believes whole-heartedly that my Grandfather Reid's poodle Charlie is a SHEEP and she will tell you adamantly
**She knows that Grandmother is "Abuela" in Spanish
**She believes that her daddy can fix ANYTHING...and she thinks that she needs to help him :)
**She is sleeping most nights in her big girl bed ALL NIGHT LONG! The only strange thing to me is that she has pushed her bedtime back to 9pm (from 730) since transitioning there. But she sleeps longer in the AM, so no complaining.
**She can't wait to be a big sister. She practices with her brother doll and she always loves on my belly, talks to "Mason" and even holds her sippy cup to my belly button so he will get enough "milka-milka". haha
**She is VERY independent and wants to do most things herself. I am very proud of her. Here is a sweet example:
One day, her play baby bottle fell under the bed (where my pregnant belly cannot go) and we called for Aunt Mal-Mal's help. Malerie grabbed a hanger and swept it under the bed to retrieve it. The next day, Bridgette was playing with a small ball that rolled under the bed. She came to me and said "Mommy, need hanger." I gave her one then followed her to see why, and she fished out her ball from under the bed. Amazing.
**Well, she is growing so much. She is thinning out (like all toddlers do) and is getting pretty tall. I will have to measure her and post that too. She loves to drink her milk. She is pretty wild about waffles, broccoli, cheese, pizza, prunes, olives (that-a-girl), raw carrots, dipping anything in ketchup haha, strawberries, apple sauce, bread, popcorn, and fruit snacks of course. She will try just about anything..she is her daddy's girl...she loves bacon, pepperoni. Whew, never thought my child would :)

As for the rest of the family...
Travis has accepted a new position as the ER Director at Jellico hospital. He currently working a lot, because he is also working out his notice at Jeff Co Hospital. He is very excited though!!
I am working a couple days a week at Summit, but mostly staying home with Bridgette. I am 34 + weeks today and really feeling it. It is HOT here in July 90s. I have a small umbilical hernia with diastasis (splitting of the abdominal muscles) and this causes my back to hurt. I am not sleeping great due to back pain, little bladder haha, and restless leg! AGH. Looking forward to meeting this little man! WE are busy decorated his room (and redecorating Bridgette's). We also are adding to the playroom. Bridgette loves to play up there and ANYTHING that involves playing in water! She is so fun.
